We at Sylvan AGI have created a powerful algorithm that is able to extract all of the information in an image and summarize it in an effective way. It turns the image into a hierarchical vector-based representation. All of that information can then be used to easily perform all sorts of useful image-related tasks!

If you work with images, chances are, Bobtail has the potential to simplify your workflow, saving you time and money. Depending on the way you work with images, Bobtail can do the following:

• It can automatically improve existing images, increasing the resolution, removing noise, and more.
• It can enable powerful new tooling to edit existing images or create new ones.
• It can also be used to improve AI solutions, making them cheaper and easier to implement.

This is a very good question! What's important to understand is that Bobtail is a fundamentally different approach from using AI to do common image-editing tasks. While we are not trying to replace AI altogether, we do believe that there are some tasks that AI is not the right tool for and which Bobtail can improve upon! Bobtail's approach has various potential advantages:

• Bobtail is considerably cheaper for the same tasks.
• It is much faster.
• It can solve different problems, that AI can't solve.
• Cannot make strange mistakes (like 6-fingered hands for instance!).

Bobtail has been under development since 2019, and has passed the Proof of Concept stage for its most important milestones.

This means that the algorithm is now able to identify and map out all core features and color transitions in an image, creating a vector-based description of the entire image. This serves as the basis for all the practical applications you can learn more about on this website.
