Our Creative Team
The team behind Sylvan AGI has over 40 years combined experience, managing complex software projects.
Bobtail has been under production for 5 years.
Erik Verboom
Erik Verboom is 38 years old and lives together with his girlfriend in Apeldoorn. He taught himself programming while in high school and after high school, studied Game Development in Breda.
During this time he became fascinated with the idea of an Artificial General Intelligence. He started a personal Research & Development project into the possibilities of AGI that he has worked on in some form or another, ever since. While working on AGI in his spare time, he has worked in various IT and software development related jobs, before becoming a software development trainer in 2020.
From 2020 onward he used his spare time to work on a specific problem in support of the larger AGI project: an algorithm to turn bitmap images into vector definitions. These efforts ultimately led to this project, Bobtail.
In his spare time, he likes to work in his garden, play the cello, and play (board) games.
Peter Slaa
Peter Slaa is 42 years old, been married for 12 years, with 2 beautiful daughters aged seven and ten.
He studied Information Technology & Communication at The Hague University of Applied Sciences and then went to work in the software testing business. The first few years he worked as a consultant and graduated from junior tester to test manager. He has now accumulated 15 years of experience as test manager, as well as people manager, overseeing up to 60 people in his department.
As a manager he worked in quality control for countless projects delivering software to customers. He was responsible for the quality process during the entire SDLC, working with industry quality standards like ISTQB (& TMAP) and with delivery frameworks like Agile Scrum and DevOps. He loves being a facilitator, as he is especially motivated to help colleagues achieve their goals.
Beside his job, he likes to spend time travelling, going to music events, watching movies, cooking (for his family) and craft beers.
